Our mission
is to make the most of people's
abilities through quality support
services.
House
With No Steps is a project of The
Wheelchair and Disabled Association of
Australia, established in 1962 to
provide quality support services for
people with disabilities. Over the past
40 years we have developed into an
organisation with diversified projects
in New South Wales and Queensland. We
currently employ over 450 supported
employees, and provide services to more
than 1400 people with disabilities.
The Intent of House With No Steps:
Our vision
is to enhance the lives of people with
disabilities.
Current Activities of House With No Steps:
The services
delivered through our six Regions to
help people with disabilities achieve
independence include:
-
Employment Services
giving people economic security and
access to job opportunities.
-
Residential and Support Services
encouraging people to participate in
community life and supporting them
throughout.
-
Recreation Programs
supporting people in their leisure
time activities.
Today we are
one of Australia's leading organisations
in the rehabilitation field. Committed
to making the most of people's
abilities, we encourage family
involvement by providing information,
advice, and a sense of security, so that
carers know their loved ones are in good
hands.
