Make-A-Wish® Australia has granted over 5,200 Wishes to children and young people since 1985. Wishes bring magic, joy and hope to these children and their families, as well as unforgettable experiences.

Our Vision

Make-A-Wish® Australia has granted over 5,200 Wishes to children and young people since 1985. Wishes bring magic, joy and hope to these children and their families, as well as unforgettable experiences. We are the only children's charity in Australia that focuses solely on Wish granting.

Children between the ages of 4 and 18 who are suffering from a life-threatening illness, may be eligible to receive a Wish. Eligible children under the age of 4 may receive a Wish box, a selection of age-appropriate toys.

A child may Wish for anything, and Make-A-Wish® does their utmost to make it happen. In general, Wishes fall into one of four categories:

To meet… a favourite rock star, sporting hero
To be… a policeman, fairy princess, published author
To have… a computer, dirt bike, shopping spree
To go… Gold Coast Theme Parks, Disneyland, Paris
