Plan
International Australia Plan strives to
achieve lasting improvements in the quality of life of
deprived children in developing countries through a process
that unites people across cultures and adds meaning and
value to their lives.

The primary way we
raise funds is through child sponsorship and
nearly 30,000 Australian donate $35.00 a month
to assist community programs in 46 countries.
These are aimed at:
Enabling
deprived children, their families and their
communities to meet their basic needs and to
increase their ability to participate in and
benefit from their societies.
Fostering
relationships to increase understanding and
unity among peoples of different cultures
and countries.
Promoting
the rights and interests of the world's
children.

Australia's strategic priorities
Child
Centred Community Excellence. To develop an
approach that brings together all the
lessons we have learned about working with
children over the past 60 years. We will go
on putting children at the centre. Helping
them realise their potential within the
context of the communities where they live.
Recognised
Voice for Children. In this fast globalising
world it is often the children's views that
are last to be heard. We will be speaking up
where children's rights are denied. We will
also provide opportunities so that children
can speak for themselves and be heard.
Expanding
our Public Support. Too many children around
the world do not have their basic needs and
rights met. This is an injustice that needs
to be righted. We will urge more Australians
to help realise the potential of all the
world's children.
AusAID and
other Institutional Support. We will
continue to build support from AusAID and
other large institutional donors such as the
United Nations. We will seek funding from
private foundations, corporate organisation
and other major donors.
Team
Building for Performance. We will achieve
our goals at Plan through teamwork. We will
strive to ensure that our teams have the
right skills for the right jobs and can
perform at an optimum level. We will draw
enormous satisfaction from performing as a
team and delivering results for children.
E-Enabling
Plan. We will build an online platform at
Plan so that the organisation can fully
participate in the digital future. We will
take advantage of advances in the Internet,
digital photography, telecommunications etc.
We will build strategic partnerships with
those who can help us in their technical
area.
